Much of the information relating to my trial hinges around the question of where did the marijuana come from. As I knew I did not have it in my boogie bag when it was checked in at Brisbane Airport, then it must have been inserted prior to me collecting the bag in Bali as it has been out of my possession from checkin to the collection point in Bali. To clear my name I requested the Australian Consul General in Bali to have the drugs DNA tested for point of origin. The reply below from the Consul shows the results of that request.
More on DNA testing can be found here... There was no reason to deny the request. Supporters however, claim that because the drugs were from Indonesia, it was not in the interests of the police or the prosecutor to have it tested and this is why it was refused.
