Schapelle Corby is an Australian citizen currently detained in Kerobokan Prison in Bali, Indonesia.

Below are a number of questions Ms Corby’s supporters request answers to as a matter of urgency:

The copy of the psychiatric report prepared by Associate Professor Jonathan Phillips about Ms Corby was sent to the DFAT in August 2009.

(1) Has the DFAT received Dr. Phillips’ psychiatric report about Ms Corby?

(2) Has the DFAT advised Ms Corby’s family and legal representatives that they have received a copy of Dr. Phillips’ psychiatric report?

(3) Will the DFAT acknowledge publicly that they have received a copy of Dr. Phillips’ psychiatric report?

Dr. Phillips has publicly made a number of observations and urgent recommendations with regard to Ms Corby, among these, Ms Corby:

· has a deteriorating mental illness

· her condition will get worse if she is not repatriated to Australia

· she is a danger to herself and has already attempted suicide

· she is a danger to others

(4) Is the DFAT in agreement with Dr. Phillips’ observations and recommendations in his report?

(5) How will the DFAT attend to Dr. Phillips’ urgent recommendations?

Ms Corby’s supporters have made numerous requests for the DFAT to initiate an application for clemency on humanitarian grounds for Schapelle Corby but there has been no response from the DFAT.

(6) Will the DFAT initiate an application for clemency on humanitarian grounds for Schapelle Corby? If the answer to this question is no, then why not?

DFAT has just confirmed that it has received Dr. Phillips’ psychiatric report about Ms Corby and that DFATwill support Ms Corby's application for Clemency.

(1) Has the DFAT advised Ms Corby’s family and legal representatives that they have received a copy of Dr. Phillips’ psychiatric report?

(2) Will the DFAT acknowledge publicly that they have received a copy of Dr. Phillips’ psychiatric report or would you prefer the supporters to do that for you?

Dr. Phillips has publicly made a number of observations and urgent recommendations with regard to Ms Corby who has a deteriorating mental illness and her condition will get worse if she is not repatriated to Australia for phychiatric treatment and rehabilitation. At present she is a danger to herself and has already attempted suicide She is a danger to others

This is an Urgent Message to all supporters of Schapelle Corby in her quest to be repatriated to Australia on humanitarian grounds.

You have probably realised that nothing much has happenned publicly in relation to the above. Since Dr. Phillips report was presented some six months ago to the Australian Government and despite numerous request to the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), the family have had an acceptable response from the government. Consequently a core group of supporters has decided to push the process along further.
It is extremely important that all supporters help us do this as early as possible as we require numbers to apply pressure on the government.
